What I offer

Bodywork built around what hurts

Every session starts with a short conversation about what's bothering you, then the pressure and pace are set to match. Nothing is one-size-fits-all.

Firm pressure applied along the muscles of the upper back
01

Deep tissue

Slow, firm work into the layers underneath the surface — for muscles that have been tight so long you stopped noticing.

Firm pressure Chronic tightness

02

Relaxation massage

Flowing, even strokes at a gentler pressure. The session to book when the goal is simply to put the nervous system down for a while.

Gentle to medium Stress relief

03

Sports and recovery

For bodies that train, lift, run or work hard all week. Focused on the areas taking the load, to help you move well and recover faster.

Pre / post training Mobility
Careful work along the neck and shoulder line
04

Neck, shoulders and back

Targeted time on the places desk work, driving and phones leave sore — the base of the skull, across the shoulders, down the spine.

Desk & driving strain Headaches
Focused thumb pressure held on a specific point along the back
05

Trigger point work

Sustained, specific pressure held on the knot itself until it lets go — useful when pain in one spot keeps referring somewhere else.

Focused Referral pain

06

Full-body session

Head to feet at a steady pace, with extra time spent wherever it's needed most. A good first visit if you're not sure what to ask for.

The approach

Listening first, then hands

Tomas Rendon has been practising massage therapy in Santa Barbara since 2024, working with people who spend their days on their feet, behind a desk or under a load — and who show up carrying it in their shoulders and back.

Every appointment opens with a few questions: where it hurts, how long it has been going on, what makes it worse. The pressure is then matched to you and checked as the session goes, because the right pressure is the one that helps — not the hardest one.

  • A short intake before every session, not a form you fill out alone
  • Pressure checked as the work goes — speak up any time
  • Clear, calm communication in English or Spanish
  • Simple aftercare advice you can actually keep up with
Why it matters

Tension is not just something you feel at the end of a long week. It changes how you sleep, how you sit, how you pick up your kids. Good bodywork gives you that back.

How it works

Four steps, no guesswork

1

Call or text

Reach out at (805) 364-7043 or (805) 284-7827. Tell him roughly when you're free and what's bothering you.

2

Confirm the details

You'll settle on a time, the session length and where to meet before anything is booked.

3

The session

A short conversation, then the work — focused on the areas you named, at a pressure that suits you.

4

Afterwards

Water, a few minutes to come back to yourself, and simple advice for keeping the relief between visits.

Questions

Good to know

Anything else, just ask when you call.

Pricing depends on the length of the session and what you need. Call (805) 364-7043 or (805) 284-7827 and you'll get a straight answer before you book anything.

It should feel like firm, productive pressure — never something you have to brace against. Say so the moment it's too much and the pressure comes down. You may feel a little worked the next day, the way you would after exercise.

It depends on what you're dealing with. Something acute may want a few closer-together sessions; general upkeep is usually further apart. Tomas will tell you honestly what he thinks after working on you.

Sí — toda la consulta y la sesión pueden ser en español. Llame al (805) 364-7043 o al (805) 284-7827 y con gusto le atiende.

Whatever you're comfortable in. You'll be properly draped throughout, and you only ever undress to the level you choose — that's your call, always.

Massage isn't right for every condition. If you're pregnant, recovering from surgery or being treated for something ongoing, check with your doctor first and mention it when you call so the session can be adapted.
